well you do get way better fps standing at range like that then right up next to the mob. i think it mostly has to do with the spell effects and since the boss is gettign all types of shit tossed on him your pc is reading it all and thus slowign you down. i used to get just as good fps before bc came out on my laptop while using fraps, im not sure what had happened but now wow uses up like 95% of my system resources... go figure.

I kinda have the same issue with my old PC. Before the expansion, things ran smooth, fps was still great even I turned all the effects up during raiding. But when I was beta testing the expansion, my fps dropped by 1/3 even I just stood in Shat City doing nothing, weird thing was my fps was fine when I stood in Ironforge. I'm not too sure why but I think it might be because of the outland terrain design/texture and the glowing effect. So I got myself a new PC just before the expansion and things run smoothly.

yeah, its the within 10 sec warning bars. i just mean you got bars all over the place, and hell it seems to be working for oyu so thats cool. i just wouldnt be able to play with half my screen covered up like that.

Alot ofy ou have to many addons in general. thoes total UI changers look pimp and all.. but i do recall Naxx release and like 2 or 3 days no raiding cause half the guild used that crap and it was all broken.. since then i stuck with most of the standard UI's


Also yeah Wapiko your right. i use to run WoW at 100% graphics sound ect on everything.. then BWL came out.. had to disable sound and lower Spell Graphics for certain areas of the instance.. THEN Expansion comes out and its like 2am-3pm = Run Game 100% graphics ect.. other than that everything to crap hole or else im in lag city.
